Every month we tell you about all of SF’s best openings, but in June we also introduced Eat Seeker, a list we’re updating every couple of months that includes our picks for the 21 best restaurants in SF at this very moment. A spot doesn’t have to be shiny and new to make the list; it just needs to be a place we love that is one of our personal go-tos, a restaurant we recommend to friends, or occasionally, an eatery that’s a total splurge.
For this update, we said goodbye to 4505 Burgers & BBQ, The Cavalier, Frances, Una Pizza Napoletana, Wayfare Tavern, Aster, and Marlowe Burger (closed), not because we don’t still love ‘em, but because we had to make way for these great additions: Café du Nord, Marlowe, Mikkeller, MINA Test Kitchen/Little Italy, Old Bus Tavern, Outerlands, Scotland Yard, and Trestle.
Trestle has one menu each night with three courses. You choose between two options and probably add the $10 pasta supplement because why not? The dishes leans towards comfort food, but in a very San Franciscan way, of course. And, uh, it’s 35 bucks for three courses, which in this town, is a serious steal. Plus, we’re suckers for the adorable bear logo.
